Family Medicine Physician

West River, MD

Join a fully integrated non-profit community health centerlocated in West River, Maryland. As a Federally Qualified Health Center, our number onemission is to serve and care for the underserved populations of the West River area.

Compensation: $200,000 - $225,000

Benefits including: PTO, sick time, holiday pay,medical, dental, and vision insurance, education or tuition assistance, 401k,short- and long-term disability, and an EAP program.

Requirements:


  • Maryland licensed physician with an active DEA license andCDS registration.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of primary care experiencepreferred, especially in a community health center setting.
  • 3+ years of Electronic Medical Records experience.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to handle diversesituations.
  • Demonstrated work record with good attendance,punctuality, and collaboration skills.
  • Compassion for patients and sensitivity to diverse issuesaffecting well-being.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communicationwith staff, patients, and the community.






Responsibilities:


  • Contribute to physician effectiveness by addressingpatient care issues and implementing CMO directives.
  • Assess patient health through interviews, examinations,and test result interpretation.
  • Recommend diagnostic or therapeutic interventionsconsidering safety, cost, and efficacy.
  • Document patient encounters accurately in the computerizedsystem.
  • Perform therapeutic procedures, instruct and counselpatients on regimens and wellness.
  • Provide continuity of care by developing patientmanagement plans.
  • Engage in quality care/incentive programs, maintain a safeworking environment, and comply with legal and professional requirements.
  • Follow established clinical policies, stay informedthrough workshops and publications, and participate in peer review processes.
  • Promote clinic services through outreach and explore grantopportunities.
  • Assist CMO in pursuing funding opportunities and attendmeetings.
  • Provide patient-centered customer service, follow HIPAAguidelines, and perform assigned duties as instructed.













Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Doctor with or w/o US residency with current US work visa.
