Our primary care facility is seeking a full-time Family Physician to join or medical team. Overview of Position:Under the direct supervision of the Medical Director, the physician is responsible for the provision of primary health care to all center patients.Qualifications:Medical degree(s) appropriate to his/her specialty from an accredited medical college or university. Completion of an approved Residency program. Provide medical direction for healthcare activities at Centers. Provide consultation for health care staff members. Assist in formulating, executing and periodically reviewing policies, protocols, procedures and patient referrals as appropriate. Periodically review patient medical records for accuracy. Provide medical orders and patient referrals as appropriate. Serves as preceptor for nurse practitioners. Documents all encounters in electronic medical record. Perform other appropriate duties as assigned by the Medical Director.Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hand to finger, handle or feel object, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Work requires the ability to exchange information on factual mattes, communicate in a variety of manners with patients, staff, and explain policies of the Centers. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
