Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Family Law Associate Attorney, your core responsibilities will include:

1. Representing clients in all stages of family law cases, including consultation, drafting pleadings, discovery, pre-trial motions, hearings, trials, and post-judgment modifications.
2. Conducting legal research and drafting legal memoranda, briefs, motions, pleadings, and other court documents.
3. Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to resolve matters favorably without a trial.
4. Providing legal advice to clients, including advising on rights, obligations, and legal options in family law matters.
5. Collaborating closely with senior attorneys and other team members to develop strategies for handling cases effectively and efficiently.
6. Staying current with developments in family law and participating in professional development and networking activities.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Family Law Associate Attorney position, you must possess the following qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. A minimum of 2 years of experience in family law, including experience in divorce, child custody, and spousal support law.
4. Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
5. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on client service.
6. Ability to manage multiple cases with varying deadlines and to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
7. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
