Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Provide legal representation to clients in family law matters including divorce, child custody, spousal support, child support, property division, and post-judgment modifications.
2. Conduct legal research and analysis of complex family law issues.
3. Draft legal documents including pleadings, briefs, motions, appeals, and agreements.
4. Conduct and defend depositions.
5. Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
6. Maintain client relationships, provide excellent customer service, and manage client expectations.
7. Stay updated on developments in family law and integrate new laws into client strategies.
8. Collaborate with team members to ensure a cohesive and organized approach to case management.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
3. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a family law attorney.
4. Proven experience in family law, divorce law, and child custody law.
5. Excellent analytical skills, with a strong ability to draft and review legal documents, manage multiple cases, and advocate for clients.
6. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, court personnel, and other members of the legal community.
7. Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
8. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and facilitate settlements.
9. Proficient in legal research and writing.
10. High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
11. Ability to work independently, but also collaboratively, in a fast-paced environment.
