JCC Greater Boston is seeking a Family Engagement Specialist/Pomi Pro. In this position, you would play a vital role in the implementation and oversight of programming and events for our new mobile vehicle that provides programs and experiences serving families with young children in the Greater Boston area. You would be instrumental in helping to establish deep levels of connection within the Greater Boston Jewish community by meeting individuals and families where they are on their Jewish journey. This part-time, year-round job and is both remote and in-person throughout the Greater Boston community. Hours vary and include weekdays and weekends. The starting salary for this position is $23.05 - $25.50 per hour. To learn more about Pomi, please visit: Minimum Qualifications: Requirements Support the development of educational and social programming for individuals, couples, and families with young children. Events might include playdates, Shabbat and Jewish holiday programs, workshops for caregivers, and large-scale events with performers and other contracted programmers. Facilitate a warm, welcoming, and vibrant culture at Pomi events and programs. Lead programs and events and ensure their success. Welcome participants to the program and create a welcoming environment. You would work directly with and support individuals and families with children ages 0-2. Research, identify, and nurture opportunities for developing community relationships with organizations to further Pomi program goals by establishing connections between possible program partners or locations Oversee relevant administrative functions related to program execution, marketing, and communications. Support lead program staff in the development of program marketing with JCC Greater Boston Marketing's support. Track attendance and manage pre-and post-event messaging to registered participants via Hubspot. Set up space, as needed. Post-event activities include cleaning the event space, ensuring contracted partners are paid as required, and documenting program quality and effectiveness using Pomi administrative tools. Other duties, as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required and a minimum of 3-5 years experience working with children and families in experiential or formal learning settings Experience with event organization implementation, building relationships, and supporting families with young children through relational programming and service delivery. Must have a familiarity with Judaism and Jewish Life. A valid unrestricted US driver's license and ability to reliably travel around Greater Boston for Pomi programs Possess a warm and welcoming personality and professional demeanor Confident in supporting the needs of young families through a Jewish lens and excited to welcome families to the Pomi experience Outstanding time management, verbal and written communication, organization, and detail-oriented abilities. Demonstrated experience handling responsibilities independently. Able to work positively with a wide range of people including co-workers, community partners, vendors and the Greater Boston Jewish community. Willingness to reflect, learn and grow as an individual and a professional. Independent thinker and self-motivated Comfortable utilizing data systems to manage program attendance, document program outcomes, and support organizational reports with quantitative and qualitative data Experience with Eventbrite, Canva, and Hubspot a plus; training will be provided An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted at the JCC's discretion to meet minimum criteria. Physical Requirements Able to move tables, pop-up tents, and other event equipment to set up for programs effectively Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and drive a vehicle for prolonged periods Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to push, pull, crouch, bend, kneel, and physically assist in event setups.
