Family Engagement Specialist

We are seeking a Family Engagement Specialist to join our team in Ebensburg, PA. Position Details Family Engagement and Support worker will work to develop a relationship that engages the family and allows for identification of family members' strengths and abilities in relationship to maintaining the safety, permanency and well-being of the child. They will work to build a relationship with family members by being available consistently to family members though frequent contact and timely response to family members' questions and concerns. The family engagement and support program worker will visit and be in contact with the family throughout the first 30 days of involvement or when needed. Family Engagement and Support worker will maintain efforts to identify and locate as many family members as possible throughout involvement in the case (including securing contact information including addresses, phone numbers, alias or maiden names). The Family Engagement and Support worker may also assist with the request of preliminary background checks. Family Engagement and Support worker will use Family Mapping and other best practice techniques during involvement in each case to engage family members and to gather further information about extended family members. There will be a focus on gathering information related to both maternal and paternal family members. This position works out of the children and youth services office. Earn: $38,000k a yr.
