Develops front desk training and procedures. Develops and implements process improvements at the front desk. Reconciles all cash/check and credit card deposits. Finalizes cash reports for registration system and point of sale. Responds to customer issues and concerns. Requests maintenance repairs and cleaning in coordination with the maintenance department and janitorial service. Opens and closes facility as required. Orders all equipment and materials for Pro shop. Directs Pro shop audits. Schedules facility room rentals. Prints and distributes facility room schedules. Keeps abreast of staff members' responsibilities and physical location and schedule of activities, programs and events. Performs all duties of Front Desk Attendants and Managers. Performs other duties as assigned or required. Minimum Qualifications: An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent Experience: Three (3) years' experience in a public setting providing customer service that includes two (2) years in a lead worker role; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Licenses and/or Certifications Required: Valid Colorado Driver's License CPR and First Aid Training Certificate or the ability to attain within 30 days of hire Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of Parks and Recreation Department policies and procedures. Knowledge of the Recreation Center's programs and activities. Skill in providing guest services and in communicating effectively in person and over telephone. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patrons and coworkers. Ability to exercise consistent tact and courtesy in frequent public contact. Ability to organize and review work for efficient results and accuracy. Ability to handle diverse tasks while maintaining attention to detail for accuracy. Skill in operating a computer keyboard and ability to learn specific Recreation Center application. Math skills required for reconciling all cash/check and credit card deposits and finalizing cash reports for registration and point of sale systems. Ability to exercise independent judgment to apply facts and advisory data to problem resolution. Advisory data includes Parks and Recreation policies and procedures and computer software users manuals. Ability to work in a team environment. Physical Demands: Occasional physical work lifting no more than 10 pounds Occasional lifting, carrying, walking and standing Occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stop, kneel, crouch or crawl Frequent hand/eye coordination to operate personal computer and office equipment Vision for reading, recording and interpreting information Speech communication and hearing to maintain communication with employees and citizens Work Environment: Works primarily in a clean, comfortable environment Equipment Used: Uses general modern office equipment, to include, keyboard, 10-key adding machines, and telephones This position may require the incumbent to occasionally use personal equipment (e.g. vehicle, cell phone, tools, etc.) in the course of their employment Must satisfactorily complete a criminal background and driving record check prior to commencing employment.
