If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking a Consulting Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique blend of hands-on work and consulting services, providing you with the opportunity to apply your technical skills while also advising our clients on best practices in facilities maintenance.

Responsibilities

As a Consulting Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:

1. Inspecting and maintaining electrical systems, including lighting, wiring, and circuits to ensure optimal performance.
2. Conducting regular maintenance checks on facilities and equipment, identifying potential issues and implementing preventative measures.
3. Utilizing hand and power tools to perform repairs and installations as needed.
4. Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and other building systems.
5. Providing consultation services to our clients, advising them on best practices in facilities maintenance and repair.
6. Collaborating with the facilities management team to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
7. Responding promptly to emergency maintenance requests and prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact.
8. Documenting all performed work, including routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections, for record-keeping and reporting purposes.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in electrical, facilities maintenance, use of hand and power tools, equipment repair, and mechanical systems.
2. Proven ability to diagnose and repair a variety of equipment and systems.
3. Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
4. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues in a clear and understandable manner.
5. A commitment to safety, with knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and procedures.
6. The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
7. Proficiency in using maintenance management software and other computer applications.
8. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to client sites as needed.
9. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions.
