As a pivotal member of the Facilities Management - Facilities Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) team, the Facilities EAM Project Manager spearheads strategic direction for mid to large-scale complex projects. This role involves comprehensive oversight of the entire lifecycle of EAM projects, encompassing initial planning, requirement analysis, implementation, monitoring, and successful delivery. The Facilities EAM Project Manager is accountable for the overall management of diverse projects, ensuring the successful fulfillment of customer expectations within stipulated timelines and budget constraints. Specific responsibilities include: Project Integration Management: Charter Development, Project Planning, Project Execution, Project Change Control, and Project Closeout. Scope Management: Initiation, Scope Planning and Definition, Scope Verification, and Scope Change Control. Time Management: Activity Definition, Activity Sequencing, Activity Duration, Schedule Development, and Schedule Control. Cost Management: Resource Planning, Cost Estimating, Budgeting, and Cost Control. Quality Management: Quality Planning, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control. Human Resource Management: Organization Planning, Staffing, and Team Development. Communication Management: Communication Planning, Information Distribution, Performance Reporting (status reporting and forecasting), and Administrative Closure for phase completion and/or project completion. Risk Management: Risk Management Identification, Risk Analysis, and Risk Monitoring and Control. Procurement Management: Procurement Planning, Solicitation Planning, Source Selection, and Contract Closeout as required. Stakeholder Management: Identify Stakeholders, Plan, and Manage and Monitor Stakeholder Engagement. Additional Responsibilities: Maintain a thorough understanding of university needs related to Enterprise Asset Management. Determine optimal project management methodologies for each project and assess the required level of governance. Collaborate with Facilities team members to identify resources needed from other teams to support all phases of projects. What We Need Required Qualifications: Bachelors with five to seven (5-7) years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, with a wide variety of acceptable fields; work experience and knowledge about information technology projects is required; a broad background in business management concepts is required. Minimum five to seven (5-7) years of managing information technology projects. Experience utilizing a structured project management methodology and formal tools/approaches, including agile, is required. Experience with standard computer productivity tools, and with project management tools is required. This position requires excellent leadership, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. These include facilitation, conflict management, change management, negotiation, and team building. Qualified candidates will need to have demonstrated consensus building and relationship management skills to navigate Cornell's decentralized, consensus-based culture. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and experience in budgeting and estimating are required. Proven record of establishing credibility rapidly to enable them to effectively establish critical relationships with Directors, Managers, and Project Team Members from various parts of the organization. Proven experience proactively leading and managing large cross functional teams. Proven experience working in a fast paced, deadline driven, complex, and rapidly changing environment. Ability to serve as an advocate for individuals of all ethnicities, genders, ages, and backgrounds. Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
