We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Permanent Extruder Operator Team Leader to join our dynamic engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual with a strong background in engineering, particularly in operating and maintaining extruder machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operation of our extruder machines, leading a team of operators, and ensuring the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our production processes. The position requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment and who is committed to excellence in all aspects of their work.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the operation and maintenance of extruder machines, ensuring that they are consistently running at optimal levels.
2. Lead and manage a team of extruder operators, providing them with guidance, support, and training as needed.
3. Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our extruder operations.
4. Ensure that all production processes are carried out in accordance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
5. Monitor and control the quality of products produced by the extruder machines, taking corrective action as necessary.
6. Collaborate with other team leaders and managers to coordinate production activities and to solve any issues that may arise.
7. Participate in the planning and execution of new projects, providing expert input and advice on extruder operations.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in operating and maintaining extruder machines.
2. Proficiency in 5 Axis, G Code, Lathe, Mill, Mastercam, Micrometers, Machining, Aluminum, Tooling, and Calipers.
3. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
4. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think quickly and make effective decisions under pressure.
5. A deep understanding of engineering principles and practices, with a particular focus on extruder operations.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information and instructions.
7. A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
8. A degree in engineering or a related field would be an advantage, but is not essential.
