Sargent & Lundy is looking for an Expense Accounting Specialist.

  • Auditing a high-volume of expense reports on a daily basis
  • Performing adjustments and transfers to existing expense reports
  • Training company employees on expense management and corporate card systems
  • Reviewing and reconciling expense reports and corporate card accounts
  • Monitoring workflows from creation to approval of the expense report process
  • Processing weekly wires for corporate card payments
  • Answering questions and assisting employees on all aspects of expense management and the Corporate Card Program
  • Learning in depth system functionality and developing the ability to troubleshoot system issues
  • Writing, editing and updating job aids as necessary
  • Performing any other related duties as required or assigned
This position allows for a hybrid work schedule with the expectation of 3 days in our downtown Chicago office and 2 days working remotely from home .

Qualifications

This position requires:
  • High School Diploma - an Associate Degree (or equivalent) preferred
  • 2-3 years expense auditing/accounting/data entry experience
  • Detail oriented team player able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • PC proficiency, solid MS Excel & Word skills
  • Excellent data entry skills
  • Complete heavy workload within established time frames
  • Able to multi-task with strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to follow through on initiatives for complete resolution
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Experience with Deltek T&E 10 strongly preferred
  • Experience with FAR and CAS compliance is a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus
