Develops short-and long-range organizational plans based on immediate needs and anticipated changes in workload, missions, functions, and resources. Identifies alternatives to improve productivity or effectiveness and conserve resources. Manages and executes business activities and critical support services, including stakeholder relations, internal and external customer service, executive secretariat, continuity of operations, and event coordination. Oversees the development of standard operating procedures, desk guides, and other written materials to document operations of an organization. Continuously reviews and recommends revisions to the Organization's administrative policies and operating procedures. Manage a wide variety of complex projects/assignments on behalf of the Regional Director that result in management policy change and provides both operational and strategic support. Qualifications You may qualify for the GS-14 grade level, if you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level performing the following duties: Specialized experience for the GS-14 is defined as: 1. Directs, plans, coordinates and executes organization programs, policies and procedures. AND 2. Streamlines programs involving difficult and complex problems that impact the organization. AND 3. Ensures implementation of the goals and objectives for all projects supervised. AND 4. Provides administrative and technical work direction to employees supervised. Time-in-Grade Requirements: Under competitive merit promotion procedures, any individual who is currently holding, or who has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under a non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet "time-in-grade" requirements (have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade of the grade for which you are applying). Under provisions of the Civil Service Reform Act, first time supervisors and/or managers will be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
