Position Summary Odyssey Systems seeks an Executive Director of Growth to join our Executive Leadership team. This executive role has a broad scope of responsibilities, including defining the company's growth strategy and overseeing the execution of growth strategies to drive sustainable long-term growth. The role is instrumental in making critical decisions that affect the company's market position and profitability. This strategic leadership role involves setting the direction for growth efforts across the organization in collaboration with senior management to align growth strategies with overall business goals. The Executive Director of Growth will lead a dynamic team of business development, capture, proposal, and marketing professionals to develop and execute the company's business development strategy. As a key leader, you will guide Odyssey Directors and other senior management to facilitate growth, meet new business targets, and ensure high-quality performance standards. This role will involve strategic planning, marketing, business development, budgeting, and resource management. You will drive the win strategies and lead, manage, and coordinate subsequent capture team members' assignments. The Executive Director of Growth should have the ability to conceptualize a vision for winning, develop a capture plan that implements the vision and translates it into win themes, adjust the vision as the procurement unfolds, and focus and manage the capture activities and team to achieve the vision through final proposal submission. Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to: Strategic Planning and Marketing Develop and execute a strategic planning rhythm, a repeatable, structured process to facilitate company growth objectives. Plans, oversees, and operationalizes achievement of Odyssey mission by capturing select opportunities in key markets. Develops plans and budgets to meet program and financial targets Facilitates understanding of program and financial risks in developing new business Facilitates Odyssey brand recognition Initiates, facilitates, manages, and builds new and existing client and partner relationships. Represents Odyssey to clients, partners, and in industry events Business Development and Revenue Generation Tracks, identifies, develops, and pursues opportunities with new and current clients that align with Odyssey's strategic goals. Ensures systems to track upcoming RFPs, maintaining corporate revenue pipeline Manages the bid/no-bid process Leads capture activities Serves as an advisor on strategy, teaming, recruitment, writing, and pricing Manages strategic bids and leads at times, corresponding proposal teams Writes proposal sections (as needed); reviews draft proposals Provides quality assurance services on bids Ensures compliance with proposal requirements Develop, implement, and manage a rigorous, integrated overarching business development process that: Identifies opportunities early Pre-qualifies leads Iteratively assesses return on investment and probability of capture Allocates resources for opportunities Develop a Business Development strategy and execute marketing programs to achieve stated revenue, profitability, and market share objectives. Evaluate marketing programs and adjust strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness. Establish strategies that will generate new revenue streams. Develop and document customer profiles. Prepare and submit a quarterly Business Development forecast demonstrating the progress in capturing new and expanding existing opportunities. Develop pricing structures to ensure that the program obtains its gross profit objectives. Develop the annual marketing budget to be incorporated into the Company's overall Budget. Develop a Five-Year Plan that describes the program's business growth strategy and integrates seamlessly with the Company's overall plan. Resource Planning and Management Plans, manages, coordinates, strengthens, and institutionalizes business development operations. Leads, promotes, and provides quality control oversight in all business development functions and operations. Consistently assesses workloads, matching existing personnel resource needs to business development demands and recommending new staff or surge capacity needs. Knowledge Management Analyzes new business lessons learned to integrate learning to strengthen efforts Develops and revises Odyssey marketing materials, making them concise, compelling, and up-to-date Oversee business development reports Customer Relations Develop and foster solid customer relationships by providing honest value and communicating effectively with customers to understand, anticipate, identify, and eliminate needs or issues. Communicate frequently and effectively with customers(s) to anticipate emerging requirements and develop effective support solutions. Qualifications Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Minimum Required Qualifications Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret level clearance Education: Bachelors degree in a Business Management/Administration or related discipline Years of Experience: At least 15 years of experience Preferred Qualifications Clearance: Active Secret Clearance Education: Masters degree Technical Skills Previous successful business development experience. Capability to work effectively with a broad range of people with various technical skills and expertise. Experience in a rapidly changing environment, with the ability to motivate and manage team and supporting staff. Experience assessing and developing strategic plans and the ability to energize others to achieve related goals. Interpersonal Skills Strong leadership skills, leading by example and behaving with the highest integrity. Team builder that fosters collaborative relationships with a geographically dispersed team. Exceptional customer service skills. Strong ability to communicate across all levels of the organization with both internal and external customers. Encourages diversity of thought and perspective. Please note: Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as the Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
