For the past thirteen years, KC Ready 4s has been committed to enhancing high quality early education across Kalamazoo County. Collaborating with over fifty pre-k programs and in over eighty classrooms countywide, they offer comprehensive support including speech, behavior, occupational therapy, family assistance, and teacher mentorship. Additionally, KC Ready 4s extends tuition aid to qualifying families, empowering them to enroll their 3- and 4-year-olds in top-tier pre-kindergarten programs.
The Executive Director will be responsible for
- Leading the development of systems that guarantee quality care and educational services for children.
- Creating and executing a fundraising strategy to sustain ongoing service support
- Establishing robust partnerships with community organizations and service providers dedicated to serving young children and their families.
- Contributing to the development of organizational goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborating closely with early care, education providers, and other stakeholders to ensure they are provided appropriate support systems and responsive, high-quality services.
- Managing contracts for critical services, creating reporting systems for contractors and setting standards for outcomes.
- Directing managerial responsibilities for administrative staff, encompassing recruitment, workflow management, performance evaluation, and professional growth.
The ideal Executive Director candidate will have
- Bachelors Degree in Education, Social Work, Non-Profit Management, or related field. Masters Degree preferred.
- Administrative experience in a non-profit organization. Experience related to quality education initiatives is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of leading and managing teams.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing DEI initiatives and principles utilizing an equity lens.
- Knowledge of research-based high-quality education practices and programs.
- Experience in grant writing. Experience with fund development is highly desired.
