The Executive Director, Medical Science Liaisons (MSL) Head is responsible for leading the MSL team across multiple therapeutic areas, while also maintaining a hands-on role. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to maximize the team's effectiveness in engaging clinical investigators and key opinion leaders (KOLs) and other healthcare professionals, fostering relationships and supporting the company's scientific and medical objectives. This position reports to the Chief Medical Officer. Responsibilities Develop and provide managerial oversight of the MSL team Develop and execute a field medical engagement strategy aligned with corporate and program objectives and closely coordinated with cross-functional partners Maintain and develop trusted, collaborative relationships with subject matter experts, clinical investigators, and advocacy groups Support clinical trial recruitment Gather actionable insights to support the medical strategy Communicate the science and emerging data effectively and compliantly Requirements PhD, PharmD or MD/DO with 10-15 years of experience in field medical (incl. 5+ years as regional/national lead) Background in neurology, rheumatology, immunology, rare diseases, oncology, and/or cell therapy Proven ability to establish trusted and collaborative relationships with leading experts in both clinical and academic settings Ability to think strategically to define and prioritize medical affairs and MSL plans Ability to manage and coach individual MSLs to ensure high-performance against current goals while also focusing on long-term development Significant knowledge related to compliance and ethical standards in Pharma Willingness and ability to travel within the US up to 70% of time, with occasional International travel $245,000 - $300,000 a year Base Salary: $ 245k / 260k / 300k Bonus: 20% Equity: 19,360 The salary range for this position is from $245,000 - $300,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay for this posted position, and the actual salary may vary based on various factors, including without limitation individual education, experience, tenure, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
