We are looking for an Estimator. MBS SOFTWARE A MUST. Experience in estimating within the pre-engineering metal buildings (PEMB). Specific product knowledge of PEMB, building codes, standards, architectural/structural drawings, specifications, and excellent communication, both verbal and written.

Job Details

Primary Job Duties:

• Responsible for designing and estimating highly multifaceted building structures; including pre-engineering metal buildings (PEMB) and conventional structural

steel buildings

• Type up all estimates in our in-house computer program; enter takeoffs, drawing numbers, etc.
• Read and interpret job bid instructions, detailed specifications, prepare a "takeoff" of materials included in the job, materials, buyout items,

equipment costs to
prepare a thorough price estimate.

• Demonstrated leadership ability to coordinate a team to develop an estimate
• Work directly with the Account Manager to understand the size and scope of projects and timelines, and applicable project deadlines.
• Understand project logistics and project schedule
• Understand all bid documents and assess project risks
• Be comfortable to discuss alternative recommendations on projects in which management requires alternative estimates to meet client needs.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Must be proficient in the use of computers and a variety of software programs INCLUDING MBS.
• Proven knowledge and experience with pre-engineered metal buildings design and ability to read, analyze, and comprehend technical plans and

drawings

• Prepare estimates and different levels of completion (Conceptual, Schematic, DD, CD, etc.)
• Vast experience designing and estimating highly complex pre-engineered steel structures
• Experience working on projects ranging from one hundred thousand to five million dollars.
• Effective presentation skills
• Knowledge of construction costs and engineering principles
