Job Details

The Estimator is an essential role who translates the design to words and numbers so the sales team, design team, construction team, and clients have a clear and accurate scope of work. In this role, you will collaborate with all departments to provide the most accurate and comprehensive plan and budget for the project. You will work in the office and in the field.
How You'll Do It:

You'll prepare work to be estimated by evaluating proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
You'll go on jobsites to review projects.
You'll translate information from a design plan into a written description of work to be completed for subcontractor bid requests and line items on proposals.
You'll assist in resolving design and detail problems with designers, salespeople, project managers, and subcontractors.

You can communicate and coordinate clearly and professionally, both internally and externally, across all mediums to achieve high standards and have excellent working relationships.
You can work well under pressure and ensure deadlines are met by setting metrics and meet deadlines for receiving, processing, and reviewing information
You have confidence to resolve design and detail problems and can present estimates to multiple teams.
Skills and Experience You Offer:

You have a Bachelor's Degree required plus three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
You have estimating experience is required, preferably in a green industry related position.
You can accurately transfer information from a design plan to bid sheets to allow for accurate bidding.
You can communicate in fluent English including reading, writing, speaking, and use of electronic platforms.
