We are currently seeking a Structural Estimator. This position will work out of our North Orange County office and report directly to the Chief Estimator.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit job specific comprehensive/clear/concise proposals
  • Coordinate all design documents (A,S,C,L,M,E,P,etc.) into comprehensive bids
  • Take-off quantities of concrete materials and formwork
  • Review and apply appropriate pricing and labor factors to materials, equipment, formwork, etc.
  • Prepare a Critical Path Durations Schedule as part of the estimate.
  • Communicate, meet with and work closely with clients.
  • Review Prime Bid RFP requests, coordinate any specific scope requirements, allowances, bonding requirements, and prepare all required bid forms as well as any related bid documents.
  • Follow-up, negotiate and procure new work. Participate in client interviews
  • Participate in transition of jobs from estimating to project management (including planning, buyouts, scope, etc).
  • Participate in weekly estimating meetings per agenda.
  • Attend job walk meetings.
  • Schedule strategy sessions on target jobs pre and post bid.
  • Maintain and update bid tracking sheet, lead tracking sheet and bid closing spreadsheet.
  • Attend key networking functions.
  • Facilitate customer service by letting other departments know client concerns or issues.
  • Periodically travel between Southern California projects


Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelors' Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field highly desired however, years of experience in lieu of formal education accepted
  • Strong aptitude with On-Screen Takeoff and Bluebeam.
  • Construction experience is required
  • Proficiency in any of the following:
    • Tekla
    • Microsoft Project
    • BIM 360
    • Navisworks
    • Autocad
    • Plan Grid
    • Procore
  • Proven track record with time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Comfortable presenting to clients and developing business relationships
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Resourceful, collaborative, adaptable and able to think on your feet
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive style with the ability to work well both individually and in a team
  • Periodical travel between Southern California projects required
  • Candidates will be subject to background check and drug screening. Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
