This role will support the Power market, supporting a variety of such projects including Single/Combined Cycle Gas Plants, Hydrogen Generation, Carbon Capture, Solar, HVDC Converter Stations, Substations, and Transmission line projects. District Overview Kiewit Power Constructors (KPC) provides direct-hire construction services for Power Generation utilizing a union craft force. Kiewit Power Constructors builds major EPC power plant projects throughout North America. Location This role is based at our office in Lenexa, KS. Responsibilities Assumed responsibility for winning the opportunity at the right price, and driving success of the pursuit Develop strategic plan and estimate philosophy Create execution plan for projects, including overall project level 1 schedule, staff schedules, equipment schedules Drive cost from the Estimate Manage the development of the final proposal and review final commercial documents Review Final Clarifications and Exceptions Reporting results of estimate to management Qualifications 10+ years experience in the Construction Industry, preferably industrial or power related markets Experience in various construction roles on large industrial facilities, such as a Project Manager Previous experience in estimating Preferred proficiency in SharePoint, scheduling tools, and general technical aptitude. Bachelors degree in related field Other Requirements: Regular, reliable attendance Work productively and meet deadlines timely Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
