We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Estate Planning Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with estate planning, elder law, and estate administration. This position will also require expertise in Medicaid, special needs planning, and tax planning. The individual will work closely with our attorneys and clients to provide outstanding legal services, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Responsibilities:

1. Assist attorneys with the drafting and reviewing of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.
2. Perform research on legal issues related to estate planning, elder law, and estate administration.
3. Prepare and file documents with the court and other government agencies.
4. Assist clients with the Medicaid application process and special needs planning.
5. Coordinate with clients, attorneys, and financial advisors to gather information and documents needed for estate planning and administration.
6. Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
7. Assist with tax planning strategies and preparation of tax returns for estates and trusts.
8. Maintain client files and manage case documents efficiently.
9. Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and coordinating travel arrangements.

Qualifications:

1. Associate's degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited program.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in estate planning, elder law, or estate administration.
3. Proficiency in legal research and document drafting.
4. Excellent knowledge of Medicaid, special needs planning, and tax planning.
5. Strong understanding of federal and state laws related to estate planning and administration.
6. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research software.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure.
