Job Details

We are seeking an Estate Planning Paralegal (or Legal Assistant) with estate planning experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the preparation and management of estate plans, including drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.
2. Research and analyze complex estate planning and tax issues.
3. Collaborate with attorneys to develop effective estate planning strategies for clients.
4. Review and interpret wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
5. Facilitate the transfer of assets into trusts and estates.
6. Coordinate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to ensure all aspects of the estate plan are properly implemented.
7. Manage all aspects of trust administration, including asset distributions, tax filings, and accountings.
8. Prepare probate court filings and manage probate court proceedings.
9. Maintain client files and ensure all documents are properly organized and up-to-date.
10. Stay current on changes in estate planning and probate law and inform attorneys and clients of relevant updates.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent is desired
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant with estate planning experience
3. Proficiency in document preparation and management.
4. Knowledge of estate planning, wills, and trusts.
5. Strong research and analytical skills.
