Job Summary
The Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating simple automated assembly machines to produce medical devices with high quality
This role involves performing routine tasks associated with machine operation and ensuring machines run smoothly with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Keep work area and equipment clean.
Read and understand procedures for machine operation.
Operate equipment safely following company standards and procedures.
Start machines from a powered-off state.
Set up work orders in electronic systems for batch records, data acquisition, and inventory management.
Operate machines and tools to produce quality products at specified rates.
Monitor and interpret gauges and equipment dials.
Identify and resolve machine faults to restart production.
Document production activities and maintain records accurately.
Inspect and test products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Weigh, count, package, and label finished products.
Learn to operate various simple machines efficiently.
Demonstrate flexibility by operating multiple types of simple machines.
Qualifications
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word preferred.
Ability to read and understand procedural documents.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum Requirements
Must be 18 years of age.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Use of solvents, glue, or solder may be required.
Perform visual inspections with or without magnification tools.
Ability to sit or stand for the duration of the shift.
Lift and move objects weighing up to 20 lbs repetitively.
