Great Hill Solutions is currently seeking an Equipment Management Specialist in support of a Defense Health client at Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center, Fort Belvoir, VA. The objective is to perform a variety of quality assurance functions in support of the equipment management cycle. The incumbent will perform as an Equipment Management Specialist, a part of a small team with efforts towards keeping equipment on hand at optimal levels. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to : Participates in division and higher-level management decisions relevant to equipment projects to include facilities and resources to accomplish proposed major work projects. Provides division level equipment management information (EMI) Visit departments, evaluate those aspects of equipment management and operation that require technical equipment knowledge, describing problems encountered, and recommend training requirements necessary to meet the needs of the customers from equipment life cycle replacement to equipment accountability. Assist with the validation of equipment requirements. Review, analyze, update and correct equipment data contained in automated logistics systems. Validate replacement equipment against the equipment records prior to items being funded against a prioritization list for procurement. Serve as a catalog QA Specialist for equipment. Will ensure that all equipment records within the logistics automated system comply with proper Federal Supply Class and Emergency Care Research Institute (ECRI) device codes. Monitors equipment records and hand receipts daily. Files, assisting with mailings and phone reminders, preparing documents, and other support functions. Assist with all aspects of logistics support to include familiarization with requesting medical equipment accountability, repair, and equipment acquisition. Coordinate requirements with users and seeks assistance in identifying and locating required items. Prepares basic correspondence pertaining to purchase orders, requisitions, missing receipts, underage and overage of shipments, questions pertaining to operation of the supply system, and other such correspondence as directed by the supervisor. Implement training materials including outcomes that can be evaluated by research. Prepare educational and informational materials in alternative formats. Conduct phasing procurements and deliveries and determining best use of funds. Manage assigned items in such a manner as to achieve effective equipment support while remaining within authorized budgetary limits. Basic Qualifications and Skills: Active Public Trust Clearance Demonstrated knowledge of a wide range of medical equipment, safety concepts, principles and practices applicable to the full range of duties concerned with medical facilities. Knowledge and ability to analyze data and apply findings to optimize assets for assigned areas. Knowledge of basic computer applications, e.g., word processing, email, spreadsheets, and basic data entry techniques are essential. On-the-job training as well as formal classroom training can be made available. Be familiar with inventory control, monitoring quality assurance information, and conducting quality assurance inspections. Must possess ability to pass security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC). Experience with DMMLs. The work is primarily sedentary. However, there may be some physical demands. Requirements include prolonged walking, standing, sitting or bending. May require lifting weight over 45 pounds. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Ability and willingness to be on-site 100%. Required Education: High School Diploma or GED Required Experience: Must possess at a minimum two-year extensive knowledge of property procedures and practices in non-medical and medical equipment accountability. Comprehensive knowledge of the DoD logistics systems for transportation, ordering, information systems, cataloging and submissions. Familiarity with Defense Medical Logistics Support System (DMLSS). Capability and willingness to drive a 1.5-ton truck.
