Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Maintenance Technician for a direct hire position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all manufacturing and production equipment are operating at peak efficiency. This role involves routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex machinery and systems. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in minimizing downtime and maintaining the high-quality standards our client is known for.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities to ensure consistent operation.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments to manufacturing equipment.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Work closely with production teams to schedule maintenance and minimize operational disruptions.
- Participate in the installation of new equipment and machinery.
- Provide technical support and training to production staff as needed.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in equipment maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and other industrial technologies.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in equipment maintenance is highly preferred.
- Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.
