Equipment Engineer II

Regular Days in office are Tuesday and Wednesday but occasionally may need them in on other days too to support work.

Responsible for Engineering and project management of all types of wireless telecom projects including cell site maintenance, construction and vendor management.

Capable of calculating power and HVAC needs, surveying sites, performing site walks to plan and prep for equipment install.

Meeting with network assurance team, landlords and external installation vendors to assess situations and provide expertise to a recommended solution.

Managing all project types (HVAC, Power upgrades, general maintenance, new site builds, in-building, carrier adds, special deployments, etc.) from start to finish.

Should be capable of mastering internal database/tracking tools.

Support Equipment Engineering Team needs to assist with projects.

Responsible for maintaining Budgeting and material inventory related to any assigned projects.

Will have to work closely with other equipment engineers and Manager to prepare and review monthly budget.

Prepare purchase orders and ensure proper vendor payment utilizing Procurement Tools.

Oversee equipment installation and acceptance using Project Management skills.

Strong Project Management and Communication skills with the ability to work closely with Team members.

Must be self motivated and have ability to complete tasks with little supervision.

A minimum of 5 yrs equivalent Telecommunications experience. and/or B.S. Degree a plus.
