GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION The role will assist in evaluating, developing, and implementing standards across the Project Management Office. The implementation of such standards will include data collection and modeling, generating and consolidating reports, reviewing others work for adherence to standards and quality, preparing and giving presentations. The development and implementation of the PMO standards utilizes the Office 365 platform to develop templates and supporting documentation and includes the support of the Sensei Beacon portfolio tool to better support the automation and consolidation of these processes and their supporting information. Project Specialist should have prior experience with SQL, Excel and Power BI based data models to integrate data across multiple platforms to build out multi-dimension reporting and analytics working with multiple departments and key stakeholders. The process of generating and consolidating reports is to summarize connected and siloed information into executive overviews to produce fact-based views of the status of our project portfolio and its ability to deliver on business objectives. Reviewing others work serves as an internal challenge and audit function to help ensure the project teams are delivering on expected goals and objectives as approved. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with the PMO team to understand processes that are / are not working and to improve upon those processes and templates to assist in delivering against expectations Experience with and ability to configure the Office 365 Platform (including Project Online) to streamline the process of managing the processes, deliverables and workflows associated with project / program / portfolio management. Deliver on defined status reporting cadences Set up and maintain project / program processes and associated templates Consolidate project / program related information into summarized reports Review project / program information to identify key risk, issues, and challenges with the portfolio Escalate issues to the PMO, Steering Committee or appropriate oversight body Participate in PMO team activities Perform any other related duties as required or assigned QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four-year college degree, plus 2-3 yrs of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
