General Description of Position The EPMO Program Manager - Finance plays a key role in the optimization of portfolio investment, project performance, and support delivery. The Program manager plans, manages, and drives corporate-specific initiatives within the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO), acting as a thought partner to leaders throughout the organization. This role is responsible for following the guidelines and standards set by the EPMO, providing structure and accountability within their assigned portfolio of projects, anticipating, and resolving risks, and driving alignment and transparency across his/her assigned initiatives to ensure they are delivered on time/budget and meet or exceed business expectations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Program Manager Specific: Manage day-to-day relationships with Project Sponsors and Project Leads in preparing and updating plans, schedules, resource request, key performance indicators (KPIs), and other inputs to the EPMO process for their assigned initiatives; activities include facilitating meetings, developing reports, and conducting project tracking and analyses. Employ EPMO processes, tools, and methodologies to provide structure and consistency in the reporting and management of corporate initiatives to these standards. Contribute to developing and continuously improving on the processes by which the EPMO identifies project scope, evaluates, resources, governs and closes enterprise initiatives. Develop, update, and share a comprehensive forward-looking view of the program and each project within the program - highlighting key risks related to budget, timing, and resources. Facilitate risk management and keep Project Sponsors and Project Leads informed of these risks and challenges. Work with business project leads to monitor project progress and take corrective action to resolve risk and challenges. Employ change management practices to ensure user adoption and smooth transition of projects from EPMO oversight to business ownership. Escalate issues to the EPMO, steering committee or appropriate oversight body. Calculate and track program benefits, both financial and strategic. Participate in EPMO team activities including Continuous Improvement work. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. Financial Focused Responsibilities Lead the development of the Enterprise project portfolios by partnering with the business to provide recommendations, evaluate options, and prioritize the different initiatives. Provide support in financial planning and analysis, accounting and financial governance processes, monthly reporting, and account reconciliation. Review of monthly PSC (Portfolio Steering Committee) Presentations & partner with Business Sponsors to ensure financial information is accurate. Support the EPMO by partnering with the project management team to deliver accurate financial views of project spend. Govern time tracking to assist with resource management and provide monthly updates to Property Accounting. Support the annual budgeting cycle for EPMO and Technology Services (TS) by collaborating with key business stakeholders, EPMO, and TS leaders. Develop guidelines and standardize processes for efficiency and effectiveness for Finance Team as well as integrate financial procedures and stay abreast of new changes. Oversee EPMO and TS governance operations by providing regular reporting on EPMO and TS financial performance. Research, analyze, and prepare ad hoc analyses/reports and provide recommendations to management for final decision making. Participate in multiple, special, and confidential projects as assigned. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
