Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the modified DoD Direct Hire Authority. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Duties You will create and maintain hazardous material master data and information for Navy installations and/or Navy afloat vessels. You will perform comprehensive product reviews to create supply and logistical information. You will develop and maintain written technical documentation for data management control. You will provide IT system technical support for supply and logistical systems. You will participate in Navy Supply Pollution Prevention programs and initiatives including Hazardous material substitution and minimization projects. You will provide customer support to Hazardous Material Control and Management personnel and stakeholders through technical advice, training, and documentation. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift. Qualifications GS-09:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most of the following duties:
1) Assisting in creating or maintaining hazardous material data and information.
2) Support higher graded personnel in conduct product reviews to create supply or logistical data for supply functions, environmental reporting, and/or safety information
3) Providing technical or customer support related to hazardous materials.
4) Using databases related to the identification, properties, management or control of hazardous materials.
5) Demonstrated experience of safety and environmental regulations. GS-07:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most of the following duties:
1) Reviewing files and records related to hazardous materials and/or hazardous chemicals.
2) Collecting, tracking, computing and/or summarizing large amounts of data.
3) Assisting with the analysis of data.
4) Using databases related to supply, logistics, and/or hazmat. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: GS-09
Applicants may substitute specialized experience with meeting one or more of the education requirements below: Master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent. Education must be related to the position being filled. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. GS-07

Additional information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. If selected below the full performance level, you may be noncompetitively promoted to the next higher grade level after meeting all regulatory requirements, and upon the recommendation of management.
