Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of regulatory, transactional, and litigation experience in the environmental field; must be admitted to the NJ Bar.

Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic Environmental Law Attorney to join our environmental group in our NJ office. This person will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance on environmental law matters, including compliance, regulatory, and litigation issues.

Is your background a match?
JD from an accredited law school
Admission to the New Jersey State Bar
2+ years of experience in environmental law
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations
Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Exceptional negotiation and communication skills
Able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
High ethical standards and professional integrity
Strong commitment to environmental protection and sustainability

What will you be doing?
Provide expert legal advice and guidance on a wide range of environmental law matters, including compliance, regulatory, and litigation issues
Represent the organization in environmental disputes and court proceedings, preparing all necessary legal documents
Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support decision-making and policy development
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to environmental law
Keep abreast of changes in environmental laws and regulations and advise the organization on potential impacts
Develop and implement effective legal strategies to protect the organization's environmental interests
Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations
