We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for an EHS Site Manager to join our growing team. POSITION DESCRIPTION This position is located on-site in Sedro-Woolley, Washington State The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Site Manager works with the EHS team to establish a positive safety culture at Janicki Industries. This position works with all levels of employees within the company to ensure compliance with internal, local, state, and federal regulations. The following essential job functions are performed as an EHS Site Manager: Reviews and analyzes incidents and recommends solutions Conducts job hazard analysis and ergonomics evaluations Facilitates the transfer of safety best practices across multiple shifts and facilities Works with operations to ensure full compliance with all federal, state, local, and company safety regulations Works closely with Operations management at assigned site to effectively manage safety at JI Monitors processes for adherence to OSHA and L&I guidelines Analyzes data, prepares reports, and communicates to senior management. Trains employees on regulatory requirements, safe working practices, and equipment operation Monitors hazardous waste activities and accumulation areas Audits and evaluates compliance with stormwater and air quality permits Facilitates workplace safety incident reporting, and leads team approach on investigation Conducts root cause analysis of EHS related incidents. Assigns and tracks corrective actions Promotes EHS awareness through internal correspondence, specific training programs and company communication boards Oversees workers compensation claims Provides support for Safety Programs, to include: Energy Control, Fall Protection, Ergonomics, Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Crane and Forklift operations, etc. Ability to work off/split shifts as required Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3). This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE 4-year, relevant, college degree with 2+ years of experience, or 4 - 10 years prior industry experience related to this role Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED Manufacturing or construction safety experience preferred Valid driver's license COMPETENCIES Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in the English language Possesses strong analytical abilities and is able to manage data effectively Has strong decision making skills Possesses strong interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to communicate professionally in both verbal and written forms with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts Possesses comprehensive PC skills, including MS Office (Excel/Access/Word/PowerPoint). Able to learn and use new systems Is a self-starter. Able to work with minimum of supervision Is able to work effectively both as an individual contributor or part of a larger team ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Salary range for this role is between $68,000 - 110,000, plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts. The range provided is Janicki's estimate of the base compensation for this role.
