Job Description The EHS Intern will support the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of programs and systems that drive environmental, health, and safety excellence. This role will support EHS matters to ensure the Company meets or exceeds legislative, corporate, and industry requirements, as well as best practice standards. This position is located in our Lumberton, NC facility. Key Accountabilities Provide support in the development, implementation, and management of safety programs (LOTO, Hazard Communication, Emergency Response, Fall Protection, etc) to ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable environmental standards. Participate during incident investigations to prepare and maintain required reports as assigned. Assist in the development of new safety communication and/or training to ensure the sites are maintaining safe work practices. Assist in the maintenance of the Behavioral Based Safety program (i.e., DuPont STOP) by collecting and reporting data to ensure corrective actions are identified, resourced and closed timely. Assist in the compliance of regulatory required EHS permits, certificates and documents. Assist with internal EHS audits to ensure safe work practices and regulatory compliance. Support EHS related training or development of training tools as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in occupational safety, environmental science, or a closely related field. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Attention to detail and capability to analyze data and make sound conclusions. Ability to participate in team-oriented projects to support effective corrective actions. Willingness to learn and engage in all aspects of our EHS programs.
