About the Role

Reporting to EHS Manager, the EHS Technician will play a crucial role in supporting ANI's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program. This program is designed to ensure the well-being of ANI personnel, maintain occupational health and safety standards, and uphold compliance with environmental regulations at our facilities in Baudette, MN.

Position Responsibilities
  • Complete EHS program compliance support activities and develop procedures, as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate files and records related to environmental, safety and industrial hygiene programs.
  • Assist with ANI Safety Committee activities.
  • Coordinate and/or conduct site specific EHS trainings and activities and ensure appropriate documentation.
  • Conduct industrial hygiene sampling.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with various applicable EHS programs, policies and standards.
  • Maintain digital SDS library.
  • Assist with waste storage and handling, compliance, Waste Stream Profiles (WSP), records, and coordination of disposal events.
  • Support day-to-day site functions to maintain compliance with various EHS policies and permits.
  • Participate in EHS audits, track findings, and ensure findings are closed out in a timely manner.
  • Participate in process improvement with identification and elimination of non-compliant or non-conforming areas. Drive closed loop corrective and preventative action.
  • Contribute to Corporate ESG related activities.
  • Performs other assigned duties.

  • Working knowledge of relevant U.S. regulatory requirements (e.g. OSHA EPA, NFPA, etc.).
  • Knowledge of using a computer including word-processing, spreadsheet applications, database management and electronic communication methods.
  • Continual development of knowledge and understanding of environmental, health and safety regulations and legislation.
  • Ability to identify improvement opportunities, develop plans to close gaps, and track improvement initiatives to closure.
Minimum Education and Experience
  • Associate's degree in EHS, engineering or technical field, or the equivalent combination of post-secondary education, technical training and related work experience.
  • 1-2 years in an EHS capacity

Preferred Experience
  • 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience within the Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Experience working in facilities security
  • Knowledge of cGMP
  • Familiarity with DEA regulatory compliance
  • Hold ASP or CSP certification
Working Conditions

Office environment (50%) with frequent tasks in manufacturing/processing/packaging areas, product development areas, maintenance/mechanical areas and laboratories.
Typically, first shift M-F, with flexible schedule based on project needs.
