Our Barnesville, GA location is seeking a summer intern for our ESH Department. Job Description Responsibilities: Data Compilation for Raw Chemicals and Finished Goods: Collect and organize data related to new and existing chemicals used in the plant, including Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), storage locations, and stock quantities. Collect and organize data related to all finished goods, including raw materials SDSs, treating dip recipes, and SDSs of treating dip ingredients. Collaborate with Group ESH to develop SDSs for any finished goods that do not currently have an SDS. Input SDS Data into Digital Database: Compile SDSs from various sources and input into the Safetrack digital database to update the SDS Index, per regulatory compliance. Ensure accuracy and completeness of collected data. Collaborate with team members to interpret data and examine updated chemical classifications for any changes (hazardous v. non-hazardous). Prepare reports summarizing findings and recommendations for updated disposal methods and/or handling procedures for workforce. Qualifications Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited degree program in Engineering, Chemistry, or related field. Minimum GPA of 2.8 Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
