Job Title: Environmental Health & Safety Staff Specialist
Location: Basking Ridge, NJ (Hybrid)
Duration: 12+ Months'


Targeted Years of Experience: 3+ years

Responsibilities:
  • Administer activities associated with the Supplier EHS Assessment process to meet program objectives
  • Communicate with impacted Suppliers, Sourcing, Third Party Risk Management team and client groups to facilitate the assessment process
  • Work with client groups to identify, prioritize and process supplier assessments in support of business initiatives and projects
  • Evaluate Supplier EHS performance history and submitted documentation through the variance process and provide client team and EHS Leadership recommendation on how to proceed
  • Review, process and report supplier events, incidents and overall program performance
  • Evaluate existing program performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Foster awareness to ensure business groups understand program requirements, objectives and expectations.
  • Ensure smooth communication within the project team and other cross-functional teams
MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important):
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in EHS or related discipline
  • Three or more years of relevant EHS work experience
  • Knowledge of federal and state occupational, health and safety regulations
  • Proficient PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Gmail and Google Suite)
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Capacity to work independently and also as part of a cross-functional team Good written and oral communications skills
DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Experience with EHS or quality management systems (ISO 45001, 14001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 9001)
  • Experience in Third Party Risk Management tools eg. Avetta, ISNetworld Data analysis skills
  • General knowledge of environmental requirements applicable to the telecommunications industry is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate compliance-related activities with all levels of client personnel, suppliers, and other contractors
