Job Summary: Coordinate with Managers and U.S. Operations to improve overall environmental, safety, and compliance performance through training, auditing, record keeping and identification of safety hazards and implementation of improvement action items. The responsibility of ensuring compliance with Company, OSHA, State and Federal regulations and standards is inherent to this position. Knowledge Experience Skills: High School diploma or GED required. OSHA 30 Certification required. Ability to interpret EPA and OSHA standards and experience implementing regulatory requirements. Training or teaching experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment. 3-5 years injection molding experience preferred. Computer literate in MS Office and Excel. Must be motivated and a self-starter that can work with little or no supervision. A valid NC Driver's license is required. Ability to manage multiple activities and change priorities. Strong knowledge of safe work practices and procedures, environmental standards and compliance, and best practices. MESH, AMESH, First Aid, CPR, AED Certification required. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Lead / facilitate/ support internal and external safety, environmental and ISO audits to monitor current performance, ensure compliance, and identify hazards/ opportunities for improvements, track progress of improvement action items and implementation of any corrective actions. Supports environmental and safety manager in development of all safety and environmental procedures and documentation. Facilitate safety assessments on all new/transferred equipment before placing into service. Develop and maintain LOTO procedures and ensure they are posted and available on Kiosk's. Review and verify required annual LOTO procedures. Facilitate or assist accident investigations with Managers, Supervisors, and Staffing Agencies. Maintain Safety Team and First Responder rosters and notify managers of any openings/needs. Schedule and conduct training for First Responders in AED, CPR, BBP and First aid. Conduct Technimark Safety Observations, as required. Schedule employee activities such as safety meetings, safety events, and cleanup days. Conduct or assist in the investigation, coordination, cleanup and documentation of environmental spills. Schedule, conduct or assist, and document all required safety, environmental, ISO inspections and testing such as cranes, rigging equipment, sprinkler systems, stormwater discharge, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, waste disposal, hazardous waste, recycling, hearing tests and refrigerants. Maintain HAZCOM, SDS, environmental, ISO and safety information and records for all facilities. Monitor and maintain data for all waste products such as hazardous wastes, landfill disposals, water, and natural gas usage to ensure current and future regulatory and ISO requirements. Monitor waste disposal products and develop actions from this system to investigate possible methods of recycling to reduce percentage of waste generated. Schedule and facilitate all waste pickups.
