Job Title: Environmental Health & Safety Manager

Job Description:
- Facility in respect to the Environmental, Health, and Safety programs.
- The EH&S Manager will maintain a proactive approach to safety in the workplace, developing safety reports for site leadership, identifying and enforcing preventive safety measures, conducting audits & checks, and ensuring the proper job-related training is delivered and documented.
- Will support a positive culture while remaining flexible, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Major Duties and Responsibilities: - Safety-related Management functions (claims, data integrity, documentation)
- Worker's Compensation activities
- Oversee the day-to-day site security operations.
- Provide EH&S training for employees on policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Inspect and verify company compliance with relevant safety regulations.
- Conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments.
- Maintain accurate and current records in accordance with guidelines.
- Analyze incident reports, metrics and injury case studies in order to institute changes that lead to a safer environment.
- Safety Best Practices - create, maintain, manage and train.
Skills: - 3-5 years related experience working for a medium to a large employer in a position responsible for Risk Management, Health and Safety, and/or Site Security. Related certificates and/or education may be considered.
- Experience preparing a variety of software, spreadsheets, presentations, speaking points, reports, or other documents while managing changing priorities.
- Experience preparing agendas, preparing SOP's and SSOP's, and preparing meeting minutes is essential.
- Must be computer proficient.
- Must be exceedingly well organized.
- Extensive knowledge of common workplace safety regulations and Workers' Compensation procedures, particularly as they relate to a food manufacturer.
- Experience / Education
- Experience working in a start-up manufacturing environment, service industry or chilled environment is highly preferred.
