Hexcel is currently seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Intern for our Kent, WA, USA location. Summary pay range: $20 - $24 hourly rate Position is on site with immediate availability. The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations: Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance inspections and audits. Assist with EHS training for all employees. Work with other departments to implement and track Safety Engagement Program. Assist with auditing activities of the Safety and Health Management system or Environmental Management System and closing actions to achieve compliance. Assist EHS, operations, and maintenance with incident investigations to minimize recurrence. Assist with daily EH&S office visitors. Update Safety & Health's SharePoint. Assist with data entry and environmental metrics. Assist with compliance reporting under the direction of the EHS Manager and Environmental Manager. Perform general administrative tasks, as necessary. Qualifications: Student must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate, graduate, or post-graduate in a Mechanical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or Environmental, Health, and Safety related degree program (B.S. or B.A.). 3.0 GPA or higher. Ability to work effectively as a team member. Effective communicator both, verbally and written. Computer skills in Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Passionate about safety, health, and environmental.
