Position Description At a Glance Legrand has an opening for a 2024 Summer Intern position, working within the Environmental, Health, and Safety (E.H.S.) department of the Canonsburg, PA manufacturing facility. This position will provide support to the Operations department, working alongside talented professionals, while contributing to challenging E.H.S. projects What Will You Do? Assist in creating Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs) Assist in completion of incident investigations and determining root cause analysis Participate in safety audits Provide project and administrative support as needed Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications Education: Currently enrolled in a Safety Sciences major Must demonstrate a positive approach and an interest in E.H.S initiatives and processes Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Excellent written communication skills Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision and take initiative Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) Excellent communication skills Maintain confidentiality in all situations Personal Qualities/Behaviors: Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection Regularly required to stand; walk and communicate with others Ability to sit for extended periods of time Ability to lift up and carry to 25 pounds Note: The above Job Description is representative of the responsibilities and qualifications necessary to be successful in this role.
