Lillington, NC is 35 Minutes to Downtown Raleigh, NC 35 Minutes to NC State 25 Minutes to Wake Tech 40 Minutes to RDU Airport 45 Minutes to Research Triangle Park 40 Minutes to Cary, NC 35 Minutes to Apex, NC 25 Minutes to Holly Springs, NC 20 Minutes to Fuquay- Varina, NC 40 Minutes to Fayetteville, NC 30 Minutes to Sanford, NC 10 Minutes to Campbell University About The Opportunity We are seeking a EHS Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing key elements of the company's Environment, Health and Safety Management system to ensure the company complies and adheres to applicable Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) guidelines. How will you help our impact? Stay appraised of new regulations or updates to existing and drive needed compliance activity and awareness across the organization. Ensure there is an annual review of hazard assessments and control throughout the year Act as first point of contact on Near Misses - initiate needed reaction plans and route awareness of near miss situations to the proper parties. Handle Safety training portion of new employee orientations - bring people on board with our mindset and expectations Perform safety analysis of new equipment / tools / fixtures / processes to ensure we are maintaining a safe environment for our workforce as the top priority. Monitor new materials and chemical usage. Perform needed safety analysis / PPE preparation / gathering of SDS and other needed materials / contribute as needed to work instructions for proper usage and safe handling practices. Drive employee awareness and learning around OSHA regulations and expectations to ensure compliance and a safe working environment. Take ownership of "First Responders" across the organization and ensure the training is provided on an annual basis to keep the needed skills in place so people can choose to react should certain emergencies arise. Work with Department Managers to perform accident / illness investigations and develop corrective / preventive actions. Compile and manage all documentation for OSHA compliance and post information as required to inform the workforce and company. Serve as primary owner of all safety CARs that may be issued. Perform internal audits of OSHA compliance and general safety best practices daily. Present findings and suggestions to management for resolution or action. Perform spot inspections for policy knowledge check and enforcement. Organize and manage periodic OSHA consultative services auditor to come into our facility and audit our compliance on a proactive basis. Own the fire / evacuation / emergency drills warning & notification system. Make sure plans in place for the different scenarios, warning systems, drills are conducted as needed. Push the knowledge throughout the workforce of the plans, warnings, and provide feedback following drills. Keep necessary safety training records, SDS book up to date, manage inspection records (forklift / crane & lift device), keep OSHA 300 log and OSHA 300A up to date. Ensure we have the proper safety PPE equipment on hand for the processes we are running and that we have the necessary equipment / materials to react to emergencies should they occur. Manage our hearing conservation program, including setting up the annual hearing inspections. Provide input / suggestions for updating / creating new policies & procedures from a safety and compliance perspective including the safety handbook. Provide support to Management and the safety committee for safety / OSHA / compliance knowledge and guide safety decisions. Maintain SHARPS program certification and lead efforts on the company's goal of obtaining STAR certification. Manage environmental programs, adherence to EPA regulations and any documentation required. Work in partnership with our corporate safety officer in Holland. Audit the grounds, facilities, and processes for environmental safety, health concerns, and compliance. Report findings and suggestions to the BEAM Staff leadership team for any needed actions. Who do you need to be? Ability to think in terms of "systems" and work creatively to improve them. Ability to lead improvement efforts and contribute to the success of the team and organization. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop and deliver effective safety training programs tailored to our industry. Proficient in the use of safety management software and tools. Experience Needed Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field, OR equivalent experience in safety-related roles, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of safety regulations, practices, and practical applications in the field. Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., CSP, CHST, SMS) is preferred. Minimum 3 years' experience of In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices specific to our industry.
