Job Details

Your primary responsibility is to guarantee adherence to all relevant Federal, State, and Municipal environmental regulations, alongside our Corporate Environmental Standards, by establishing and sustaining an effective Environmental Management System.

Responsibilities:

Facilitate Compliance: Oversee compliance with facility, regional, corporate, and regulatory environmental standards through comprehensive audits, inspections, and meticulous recordkeeping. Offer support to management during investigations, provide recommendations for corrective or preventive measures, and ensure the accuracy of environmental records.

Environmental Management Systems: Develop and administer environmental management systems within facilities, encompassing employee involvement, hazard analyses, safe operating procedures, training, risk management, spill prevention, hazardous waste management, DOT hazardous materials, emissions, and emergency planning (EPCRA), among other essential components.

Leadership in Compliance: Take the lead in developing, administering, and sustaining environmental compliance and continuous improvement programs. Act as the technical expert for your plants in interactions with Federal, State, and Local regulatory agencies, making both written and oral presentations on the plant's status.

Regulatory Reporting: Submit required reports (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual) to Regulatory Agencies and maintain up-to-date knowledge of environmental regulations to offer expertise in assessments, capital projects, work orders, and general problem-solving.

Regulatory Impact Analysis: Analyze proposed and final regulations for their potential impact on manufacturing operations, considering potential capital expenditures and compliance challenges.

Self-Assessment and Reviews: Conduct regular environmental compliance self-assessments and reviews of regulatory applicability to ensure ongoing adherence.

Communication and Training: Implement a robust communication and training strategy throughout your plant(s) to instill a high level of environmental awareness and responsibility at all levels.

Performance Metrics: Track and communicate environmental performance metrics, including goals and core processes, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Issue Escalation: Ensure timely escalation of Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) issues to Business, Operational, and EHS Leadership, promoting a proactive approach to problem resolution.
