Salary: $230,000 - $275,000 per year

Due to continued growth, we have an immediate need for a Litigation Associate to join our Government, Land Use, Environment & Energy Division. Ideal candidates will have preliminary experience working on legal matters relating to development of land and natural resources.

Job Details

Our law firm is seeking an Environmental Attorney to join our team. This is an ideal opportunity for an attorney who is passionate about environmental law and possesses a deep understanding of the CEQA/ NEPA regulations.

Is your background a match?
JD from an accredited law school
Active member in good standing with the California State Bar
4+ years of experience in land use or environmental law
Subject matter expert with CEQA and NEPA regulations
Knowledge of project development, public lands and mining, air, water, and energy
Experience in real estate transactions is a plus.
Proven track record of representing clients in environmental litigation and regulatory compliance
Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve disputes in a fair and effective manner
Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
High degree of professional ethics and integrity.

What will you be doing?
Work on a wide range of regulatory, administrative, transactional, and litigation matters relating to the development of land and natural resources
Handle all land use litigation (writ of mandate) and public lands
Represent clients in a variety of environmental law matters, including litigation, regulatory compliance, and transactional work
Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on various environmental laws, regulations, and policies
Draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, opinions, and contracts
Advise clients on CEQA, NEPA, and other relevant environmental laws and regulations
Stay updated on the latest developments and changes in environmental law and policy
Provide counsel to clients on the legal implications of various environmental issues and policies
