We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and dedicated Environmental Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This is a unique opportunity to work on challenging and high-profile environmental and land use cases. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance on environmental compliance issues, and representing the organization in legal proceedings. This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in environmental law.

  • Provide expert legal support on environmental issues, including land use, zoning, permitting, regulatory compliance, and environmental risk management.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex environmental agreements.
  • Represent the organization in administrative and judicial proceedings involving environmental and land use matters.
  • Advise clients on changes in legislation and regulations that may affect their business operations and strategy.
  • Work collaboratively with other attorneys, scientists, and technical experts to address multidisciplinary environmental issues.
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage environmental legal risks.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda, opinions, and briefs.
  • Participate in community outreach and public education activities related to environmental law.


Job Details

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience practicing environmental law, with a focus on land use.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations.
  • Proven ability to handle complex environmental and land use cases.
  • Excellent research, analytical, writing, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team and build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to ethical standards and a high level of professional integrity.
