PGS Worldwide is actively seeking an entry level Quality Control Engineer with experience in Electronics, Electrical assembly, and Solid Manufacturing processes to support ongoing projects for an Aerospace and Defense leader in Fort Wayne, IN. This is an initial 8-month contract-to-hire opportunity on the 1st shift Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm paying up to $ 35 per hour based on the candidate's qualifications.

Job Description:

Entry Level Quality Control Engineer role to assist Senior Quality Control Engineers with driving quality actions to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in order to meet or exceed all regulatory and customer requirements and expectations.

Assist with the following: First Article Inspections, containments, purges, and stop ships.

Conduct quality investigations utilizing root cause and corrective action tools.

Induct customer returns.

Requirements:

Previous manufacturing or quality experience in electronics/electrical assembly.

Solid manufacturing process knowledge/experience.

Good verbal and written communication skills are critical to interact and communicate with other people effectively.

Being detail-oriented is important to swiftly and accurately identify any potential quality concerns with a product.

Critical thinking: A quality engineer needs to have the ability to analyze and evaluate information, data, and situations logically and objectively.

Teamwork: A quality engineer needs to be able to work well with others, collaborate, and share ideas and feedback.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

US Citizenship.

Desired:

Degree in a technical field with 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is highly recommended.

Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

J-STD-001 or IPC-A-610 certification.

Formal qualification related to field of work.

Knowledge of quality control methods.

Analytical and problem solving skills.
