GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION This Enterprise Inventory Specialist plays a critical role on the Merchandise Supply Chain team and will assist in evaluating and managing inventory systems, metrics, and processes of all Merchandise categories, at QuickChek and Murphy USA. The Enterprise Inventory Specialist will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory control, including inventory tracking, replenishment, optimization, and reporting. This role will be responsible for collaborating with Merchandise Category Managers and wholesale partners to address inventory concerns. This position represents Merchandise Supply Chain in cross-functional initiatives, ensuring supply chain excellence is in place. The Enterprise Inventory Specialist will leverage data to successfully manage product availability and inventory health; including new items, Limited Time Offers, Seasonal Programs, and inventory requirements for promotional activities. This position will be the point of the Merchandise Supply Chain team, working to establish training & documentation for processes related to inventory management at QuickChek and Murphy USA. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Continuously identify opportunities to enhance inventory management processes, systems, and procedures. Work with wholesale/distributor representatives, Category Managers, Pricebook, and other stakeholders to ensure item setup accuracy. Implement best practices to streamline internal inventory operations, increase efficiency, and reduce costs while maintaining high levels of accuracy. Oversees merchandising functions in the inventory system and communicates them on an ongoing basis to applicable stakeholders. Provide efficient flow of information including detailed reporting on current and forecast inventory levels to manage and drive performance. Prepare and publish inventory reports to Merchandise partners, field operations, and upper-level management. Supports inventory target reviews for product replenishment activities. Manage settings and daily operations of inventory systems related to retail merchandise ordering and auditing functions. Oversee planogram execution from a product life cycle, event planning, and exception management within the inventory system. Communicate important inventory details with all levels of the organization. Communicate with site personnel to discuss and address inventory concerns and issues. Create training, communication, and documentation for supply chain best practices. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, and finance. Equivalent to a four-year college degree, plus 6 to 12 months of experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
