About the Team The Enterprise Cybersecurity team at STR is dedicated to securing unclassified information and systems across the company. We are a small but tight-knit team spread around the US, working closely with the rest of the enterprise IT team. The Role The Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing cybersecurity events, providing recommendations, performing remediation, and escalating to other staff. The Analyst will correlate threat information from various sources, such as phishing emails, malware outbreaks, and unauthorized access attempts. This role will require researching and assessing new threats and security alerts, as well as providing recommendations for remedial actions. The Cybersecurity Analyst supports the development, implementation, and management of security procedures, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements. After-hours support could be required for incident handling as needed. What you will Do: This position requires U.S. citizenship 0 - 3 years related work experience in information security Excellent analytical skills in order to identify security risks and appropriate measures needed to help mitigate those risks Familiarity with one or more of: Microsoft 365, AWS, Windows, MacOS Who you Are: BS/BA degree in related discipline or equivalent Relevant certifications such as Security+, SC-200, or SC-900 Experience in help desk, system administration, and/or network administration Technical background with a variety of information security systems and tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, vulnerability management, anti-virus/malware/EDR, data loss prevention, mobile device management, and SIEM Experience with Linux, Mac, and Windows Operating System, LAN/WAN protocols, and network perimeter protection Must be comfortable conducting independent research of issues, working with end users and IT for investigations, and providing guidance on next steps Experience working with Azure AD, Active Directory, and Group Policy Ability to work out of an STR office STR is a growing technology company with locations near Boston, MA, Arlington, VA, near Dayton, OH, Melbourne, FL, and Carlsbad, CA.
