As an Enterprise Architect for a large U.S. Government Department, you will advise senior leadership on Cloud, Data Center, and End User Services. Additionally, you will lead a team of architects, analysts, and engineers in developing and executing an IT multi cloud modernization strategy and develop a roadmap for our federal government customer. The scope of responsibilities include meeting with business and technical stakeholders to understand the current ecosystem, capturing business requirements and translating them into technical features for the team to execute, while providing continuous IT and cloud service modernization suggestions and improvement initiatives based on government requirements, program performance and the latest industry trends. In this role, a typical day will include: Building and managing relationships with Senior Government officials based on mutual trust. Assembling and leading an engagement and delivery team focused on delivering business value for clients through innovation, execution excellence, consistent service delivery, and continual service improvement. Working with the government, other vendors, and teaming partners to integrate systems for optimal performance. Mentoring, coaching, and developing staff to ensure ongoing performance and professional growth. Ensuring that our team meets key milestones, deliverables, and service levels throughout the life of the program. Collaborating on the development of business and technical cloud strategies and solutions that drive growth, strengthen economics, and improve business value. Partnering with customers to ensure that business needs are being met and that solutions are aligned with long term goals. Utilizing feedback groups, communities of interest, and surveys to accomplish these objectives. WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience
Experience: 15+ years of relevant technical experience
Required Certification: 1 cloud Professional certification: AWS, MS Azure or Google Cloud Platform
Required Technical skills: 4+ years of experience working on software engineering and architecture including application transformation to Cloud-Ready or Cloud-Native.
8+ years of experience with application assessment, discovery and move to cloud strategy definition.
Demonstrated experience (Hands-on) with at least one major cloud provider and/or one platform such as OpenShift or Kubernetes.
Demonstrated exposure to tools like Carbonite/Double-Take, Zerto, AppZero and other Native tools from Cloud Service Providers.
Understanding of modern application migration and modernization approaches: re-host, re-platform, re-architecture, etc
Demonstrated understanding of infrastructure such as network, storage (SAN/DAS/NAS, Object Storage, Cloud Storage, etc.)
Demonstrated containerization/virtualization migration practice (e.g. VMware, Red Hat Virtualization, OpenShift, Kubernetes)
Demonstrated experience in migrating and modernization of legacy systems and applications.
Security clearance level: Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting.
Location: Hybrid based out of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
