Our client is seeking an exceptional Software Engineering Manager to join their team based in San Francisco, CA. This role involves end-to-end ownership of a product, working closely with product and design teams to set standards and ensure high-quality outcomes. The Software Engineering Manager will lead a proficient full-stack unit responsible for a cloud-native product. Additionally, this role encompasses overseeing both the current product and the development of next-generation AI-powered functionalities.

Key Responsibilities:

Achieve ambitious goals within a dynamic and innovative environment.

Translate intricate functional and technical requirements into detailed project plans and schedules.

Effectively manage day-to-day activities of the engineering team, establishing and maintaining a progressive development strategy.

Drive the evolution of the software engineering practice within the organization.

Provide comprehensive status reports on product quality to senior management, customer support, and product teams.

Foster the growth of a high-performing development team by leading recruitment efforts and managing team dynamics.

Act as a bridge between the Engineering and Product teams to streamline the production of innovative features.

Key Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Software Engineering Manager.

At least 8 years of full-stack development experience.

Proven expertise in developing and optimizing engineering processes.

Strong project management skills ensuring project adherence to timelines and objectives.

Demonstrated leadership abilities and interpersonal skills essential for team management and growth.

Confidence in making informed decisions even in ambiguous situations.
