Engineering Manager Job Summary
The Engineering Manager will mentor staff and provide senior leadership and technical oversight on exciting and engaging engineering projects. This is a key leadership position, requiring excellent communication skills as well as the ability to mentor, provide technical review, and strategize site engineering management. The Engineering Manager works with HydroCad and AutoCAD Civil 3D, or Carlson software as well as related site design disciplines such as hydrogeology, geotech and other infrastructure. Typical projects include facility development, commercial site plans, stormwater and erosion control plans, septic system and sewer design, wetlands and town/state permitting. Engineering Manager Responsibilities
•  Mentor staff and provide senior leadership and technical oversight on exciting and engaging engineering projects
•  Work with HydroCad and AutoCAD Civil 3D, or Carlson software as well as related site design disciplines such as hydrogeology, geotech and other infrastructure
•  Typical projects include facility development, commercial site plans, stormwater and erosion control plans, septic system and sewer design, wetlands and town/state permitting. Engineering Manager Position Requirements
•  8 years of civil engineering experience with previous supervisory assignments
•  Minimum qualifications of an Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design or related technology required
•  Bachelor's degree in Engineering Design or related technology preferred
•  Practical experience in the application, modification and adaptation of standards, techniques and procedures
•  Basic knowledge to support technical and administrative analysis
•  Proficiency in PC computer operation, including spreadsheet and word processing programs
•  Experience in database operations and the use of engineering programs desired
•  Experience in Intergraph CADD or AutoCAD desired
