Engineering Department Manager

Opening with our client for an Engineering Department Manager. This is for an electrical engineering department so client is looking for a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 8+ years of electrical engineering experience.

In this role you will be responsible for managerial direction of the department. You will provide technical oversight and guidance on all electrical aspects of in-house projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Essential Duties

Lead a team of electrical engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Assist with management and preparation of proposals and presentations for new business opportunities.

Oversee development of electrical specifications, including electrical construction work specification.

Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to address potential electrical hazards.

Stay current with advancements in electrical engineering technology and best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

P.E. Certification strongly preferred

8+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on project management and technical leadership.

Advanced knowledge of electrical equipment and wiring design.

Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Experience with risk management and mitigation strategies
