We are currently looking for a Test Engineer located at our Northridge, CA. location. Role Description
Test and troubleshooting at the system level and lower level assemblies. This role will include working with operations in order to coordinate testing efforts to evaluate failures of product for a quick turn around. The candidate will also take part of test planning and to validate new designs specific to the product and production line. Job Responsibilities:
-Organize and lead a group of engineers to repair/rework product to return to the production line.
-Using different applications in order to help perform analysis of failures, i.e Matlab, excel, etc.
-Perform tests by following ATPs or technical memos, or by using them as a guide to modify tests for the specific need of failure.
- Lead the troubleshooting activities, investigate the cause of the failures and fix the defect at top level assembly -Communicate between different functions to move product through the process.
-Work across different functions to get tasks done and buyoff for customer approval of new designs.
-Create test plans and test procedures for new projects and designs in accordance with Statement of Works.
-Present processes and test flows to customers Preferred Qualifications:
- Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment
- Able to communicate effectively and clearly to present technical findings
- Able to Work independently under minimal supervision and guidance to perform tasks of substantial complexity and conduct testing activities on site - Able to understand software enough to modify test scripts
-Analyzes, evaluates, tests, reviews, studies, and documents all testing efforts to provide comprehensive insights into system performance and adherence to requirements. Basic Qualifications:
1. Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent discipline and 2 years of experience. Or 6 years of experience in equivalent field.
2. Able to obtain a Secret clearance
3. Able to read schematics and trace signals
4. Able to follow test procedures and understand different applications
5. Knowledge of a wide variety of electronics test and analyzing equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, meters, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer and any other special electronics test equipment necessary for testing, analyzing and/or troubleshooting/repairing.

Salary Range: $79,300 - $118,900 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
